Troligen är “Johansson” den som skrev kortet 6.1.

I think this gives a clue to who wrote the card 6.1 – Johansson, whoever he was. A farm hand, probably?

Timber rafting is a log transportation method in which logs are tied together into rafts and drifted or pulled across a water body or down a flatter river.

Berge is a place at the river Indalsälven in the Swedish province of Medelpad where timber used to be sorted into such rafts.

Berge ligger vid Indalsälven i Medelpad. Sorteringsbommarna användes för att sortera timmer till stora flottar som styrdes genom forsen till älvmynningen, varifrån de bogserades med båtar till sågverken.
