To My Valentine - Belle Parisienne

 G.031.03

Am. Col. Reprod. Co. - Belle Parisienne. - A. Asti
Parisian Belle

To: Gustaf in Galeton, Pa - from an anonymous sender. I can't read the postmark either, but in Gustaf's postcard album, the card sits among cards from 1906.

Angelo Asti was a French-Italian portrait painter, born 1847 in Paris, died 1903 in Mantua. He painted hundreds of portraits of women in the same style. Between 1877 and 1890 he lived in the US (Cincinnati, Ohio) and worked for a company that made litographies. His pictures were also used for postcards and advertisments. - All this info gathered from a Wikipedia page in German - there does not seem to be a Wiki article about him in any other language. You can easily find more examples of his art just by googling, though. (The woman on this postcard is modestly dressed compared to most.)
